Welcome
Like so many others, I started my garden at the start of the pandemic, in spring of 2020. It's grown a lot since then!

I've linked to all the tools and equipment that I personally use in my garden. I included some fun gift ideas for beginner to experience gardeners as well. And I highlight a lot of small businesses you can support.
A great source for high quality starter pots, trays and tray inserts. I like these long-lasting products as a replacement for flimsy single-use plastics. I just got some clear cell plug tray inserts. I can't wait to be able to see the roots growing. And the products are made here in the USA.
I am now three seasons into growing in these modular garden beds, and I love them. I recommend the stand up gardening line for no bending, but they have so many cool products now, including a rolling bed which I love for my patio! Worth checking out.
Farmers Defense is a local company selling these sun hats and garden aprons. They also have protective sleeves in fun patterns. Use code MYCALIFORNIAGARDEN for 10% off.
I'm a convert for using ollas to conserve water and prolong time in between watering. They also promote dense root growth. Check out these beautiful ollas (and straw mulch!) from GrowOya and use code MYCALIFORNIAGARDEN for 10% off.
I get asked about my tower all the time, and I'd have to say it's still one of my favorite things in my garden. Check out my Instagram to see the amazing success I've had with it!
A great online source for fruit trees, nut trees, berry plants, and garden plants. They're the oldest continually operating nursery in the country, with over 300 unique plant varieties.
Lots of options for the garden. I got my husband some for Christmas to incentivize him to help with messy jobs, like getting me horse manure from a local farm. :) Use code MYCALIFORNIAGARDEN for 12% off.
I started with one, but have now replaced all of our hoses with these retractable hose reels. Makes my life so much easier! Plus no more tripping over hoses that don't get put away.
Pretty seed packs with helpful info on the back. Also check out the 'articles and blogs' section of their website for some great growing info!
Good source for non-GMO, certified organic seeds. Nice selection of flowers in addition to vegetables.
I've been a long time follower on YouTube, so I'm excited to check out their seeds this season! Use code MYCALIGARDEN for 10% off your purchase.
My first love when it comes to seed companies. Awesome variety and good people. Check out their beautiful catalog for inspiration!
I honestly recommend this recipe from Feasting at Home any time I see somebody growing purple cauliflower :) It's great with regular cauliflower too. Just try it!
Anybody else better at growing root vegetable greens than the actual root vegetable?! :) I'm getting better, but regardless, I wouldn't waste any of the yummy greens!
Seriously elevated grilled cheese. Even my little one loves this. I use spinach or whatever other greens I have to hand. Delicious and so quick!
So so good! And don't skip the preserved lemons, recipe below.
